On 2000 era Grand Caravans, you use your tire iron to turn the 'bolt' in the floor to crank down the tire. The 'bolt' is hidden under a plastic carpet-coloured cap near the middle of the floor at the rear. Turn counter-clockwise to lower the spare tire. On some models a pop-in type of hanger is used and, after cranking the tire down a bit, the tire won't actually drop so you will need to use something to pry the spare tire down out of its socket before continuing to lower tire.
