When you have defeated Mordred, the Princess knocks him out and you return directly to the castle at Arturus, where you receive a knighthood (the Medallion). The green orb is atop the spaceship fountain, so there is no way to return to Mordred's castle. Your spaceship, however, is parked on the roof.
