That model should not have auto locking hubs, like the older 4 X 4 did. In 1988 GM went to a locker in the front differential, which is operated by an actuator, mounted on the upper front of the differential housing. When you shift in, or out of 4 wheel drive, the actuator bring the front axle in, or out of engagement.
that's a stupid question, auto 4wd hubs have no place to put the locks that engage the 4wd, that's why its called auto 4wd, so u don't have to get out of ur car and lock them in
