I know two. (the graveyardenvironment is easier and free.) graveyard environment Go to the Northern Woods (the place where you get slime). drag your mouse to the hollow tree on the right. A creature should come out. (I forgot the name) When it comes out ,click on it and it will have a little message saying to check if you have a primary pet and if you want the graveyard environment. Of course, click yes. Now you have the graveyard environment! Garden environment: Go to the Bidding barn and click on a auction. Bid on the idem and keep trying to have the highest bid until it ends. Then after 5 minutes ,you can collect your idem. Then somehow you get the Garden enviorment. Note: if you only want to bid to get the garden, bid on the cheaper items like Job Agency Cards.

The environments in PowerPets are backgrounds for your pet's profile. From your pet's page you can select "Options" then select the different environment and it will change the background picture in your pet's picture.

The winter background you can get from doing Tumid's Quest. It may take a while though, so just keep on doing the quest. How do you find the graveyard background? The graveyard is retired, it was in the tree in Northern Woods where Nova hides. (REVISED ANSWER) The grave yard is brought back occasionally in October... this year it was also in the tree. The beach background can be found by doing the shark quest.
