you get there. no just kidding. you get the map in the temple of the ocean king on like yer 2nd time there. THE ANSWER: I searched on Google and every cheat there was online to try and figure this out!!! The game was made to only have one way to get to the Northwestern Sea. I spent 5 days trying to do to the NW and repeatedly failed and to just get swept away by a huge tornado to square one and have Linebeck tell me that is wasn't time and that we needed to find another route. The only answer I kept finding was to write the route down. I already have the route, I JUST CAN'T GET THERE!!! But that didn't help me since I couldn't even get my ship up in the Northwestern Sea! It was very fustrating! So in order to get to the Northwestern Sea is to sail to it on the left side of the screen and NOT the right or you will keep getting sucked up by the tornado like I did. lol. So where the rocks are in the middle sail to the left of them. Too bad it confuses you because if you are on the right side of the rocks and screen the Icon and arrow for the NW Sea pops up. Hope this helps. =]

I am pretty sure that all of the sea charts are obtained in the Temple of the Ocean King. Try going deeper down than you had before and you will probably find it.
You find it in the tower were you defeat the phantoms at.
You just have to make it through the Ocean Temple.
youtube: legend of zelda phantom hourglass by cesaritox09
The Temple of Ice in The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is located on the Isle of Frost. The Isle of Frost is in the southeastern quadrant of the map.
In Link and the legend of Zelda, Phantom Hourglass, you get the hammer in the isle of ruins, or the island of the dead.
on the island
The hourglass...draw it

You don't.
there is no windmills!
The game is not called, "Zelda and the phantom hourglass" and if it was, don't skip school. It would be written like this, "Zelda and The Phantom Hourglass." Get your capitals right! Anyways it is called, "The Legend Of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass" and it isn't the best Zelda game out there. But it is not bad either. It is for the Nintendo DS. Purchase it!
