the whole point of the game is to obtain the sword. you can't just go get it. it doesn't even exist yet. you have to obtain the three pure medles. after that you take it to the black smith in the nothern western part of the map. then he will create it for you. but wait it is still not complete. you go back to mercay isle (the isle you where first washed up on in the begining of the game) and take it to "grandpa" and he will take your hour glass with the sand of it and make it complete with a handle. there now you have the phantom sword.
