If you talk to them, you'll probably notice they mention a "siren's call". This is a part for the Trolley you get by kicking Grunty's butt in Act 5 of the Terrarium of Terror. I have no idea what it's actual name is, but it's pretty much a horn. When you've got it, blast it at the ghosts to get the Mumbo Crate they've been sitting on.

Once you have the Chilli, create a vehicle that can effectively carry it. Drive to the location of the ghost pigs and use the Chilli to scare them away, allowing you to complete the associated challenges or tasks.

They don't say, but Banjo (not Kazooie) first appeared in 1997 inside the game Diddy Kong Racing. They had their own series called the Banjo-Kazooie series in 1998 with a game called Banjo-Kazooie to start off the series
