Saddle soap is a popular choice but it is not my favorite. In fact i think saddle soap is kind of a sham.
There are liquid soaps for leather shoes to clean them. Rubbing alcohol works to but you must use only a little and a towel so the alcohol being held by the towel and not falling into the shoe's leather. Remember only a little or else it will dry the leather out.
easy. stand them in a pan of water with a thin thin thin layer of sand on the bottom for 5 hours.
Rub a banana peel on them and wipe them off.

The peel has oil in it. You can shine shoes, leather , patent leather or vinyl. Just make sure you wipe off the excess and like banana-scented shoes.
Pointe shoes come shiny. If the shine in your pointe shoes is gone, it probably means it was a) worn out or b) rubbed off with a chemical. You can not make them shiny again. Purchase new ones. ;)
