You get the gunpowder from the Chinese place and you light it in front of the blocked up cave entrance. Enter the cave, and you will get a torch. You have to find your way around the cave, avoiding water because if you land in water your torch goes out and you have to start again. When you get to the end, you will get a new torch and the Golden Vase which you give to the Romans in 0328 BC
