The Kokiri Emarald is given to you once you complete the quest inside the Great Deku Tree. The Goron Ruby is given to you once you defeat King Dodongo in Dodongo's Cavern on Death Mountain. The Zora's Sapphire is given to you once to complete the quest inside Lord Jabu-Jabu in Zora's Domain.
The first "sword" you get, looks more like a knife, is in Kokiri Woods in a maze towards the exit of that area.
The second sword you can get by doing a miniature quest for Big Goron, whom you find at the top of Death Mountain by the Fairy Fountain.
And lastly . . . you get the Master Sword no matter what you do.
Hope this helps.

The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time does not have a remake on DS but it does on 3DS.
OoT is abbreviated for Ocarina of Time. The fifth Zelda game is called The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. People call it Zelda OoT for short =).
Once you have the three stones you must head back to the temple of time, once you get near Hyrule(For the first time since collecting all the stones) Zelda will ride out of the castle on a white horse, Ganondorf will follow her on his black stallion. Zelda will throw the Ocarina of Time at you and miss, landing it in the moat. Once she get's away, Ganandorf will stop by you and steal Saria's wooden Ocarina from you. Once the episode is over, go and get the ocarina then head into town and go to the Temple of Time. Once you get there, go to the alter and place the three stones and take out the ocarina, since you don't know the song, Zelda will poof into your mind and teach you the song you need to open the huge door. Once the song has been played, the door will open and you can head in. Once in front of the sword, press the "A" button to pick it up. Once that is done, you head to the future!
There is no such thing as a shovel in Ocarina of Time.
After you get the Ocarina, Link will remember Zelda and she will teach you the Song of Time. You have to play it to start the three days over.
