You keep trading to get enough money.
Just save up money by finding salvage and/or trading. It is very hard to by the huge ship, though.

When you have found the five map pieces from the outlying islands, view the item card for the pieces and a sixth island (Skullduggery) will appear between the Pirate Outpost and Golden Harbor (on the bottom middle of the map). It also appears in the actual sea, and you can dock there. But there is nothing to do until you have purchased the largest warship (Phoenix Warbird) and chased away Captain Crawfish. After you do, the Governor on Fort Ridley will give you the location of the buried treasure (and a shovel), so you can sail to Skullduggery to dig it up.

Fort Ridley is the first place you go on Skullduggery Island. Its impossible to miss it.
The bank on Skullduggery Island is the Golden Harbor Bank, located in the Arabic-themed port at the lower right on the island map.

There is a dock at the bottom side of the small island, Skullduggery. The island appears when you have collected all 5 of the pieces of the Treasure Map.
There is no compass??
Yes, there are several people in the Skullduggery Island on Poptropica. On of which is a deck hand. you can find him on the top left island.
