If you are not a Moshi Member then you can only keep 2 Moshlings at any one time. If you're a Moshi Member then you can keep 6 in your room but you also have the Moshling Zoo.
To attract Moshlings you need to plant three seeds in your garden. You buy seeds from the stand on Main Street or at the Port. Each Moshling has a different combination so you need to work out the correct combination to attract the Moshling that you want. Keep planting seeds until you work it out!

You can not get three moshlings all at once. There are only three holes for planting seeds and each moshling needs three plants to attract it.

It is the same, whether or not you are a member. The difference between the common, uncommon, rare, and ultra rare moshlings is in the seed combinations/codes. For most of the moshlings, to get the common moshlings, the three seeds can be any color. Uncommon moshlings need one seed of a specific color, rare moshlings need two seeds of a specific color and ultra rare moshlings need three seeds of specific colors. There are a few exceptions to this as some of the moshlings are found by doing Super Moshi Missions and a couple of the moshlings don't fit the pattern.
