How do you get to know God?

Where can you find God? God is everywhere, in everything. Unfortunately, we have not realized the truth about God. It's like asking the question - where can I find air? Air is everywhere, you are breathing air all the time. But a child will say that he doesn't know where air is! A child doesn't know that without air we cannot exist. If there is no air even for a moment, we will die. Just like there is air everywhere, but we can't see it, there is God everywhere. God is in you, God is in me, God is in the butterfly and the bee, God is in the mountain and the tree. Everything in this world is made up of molecules of matter. Every molecule of matter, as proved by science, is nothing by energy. When we realize that everything in this world is energy, even you and me are nothing but energy, we will get the answer to the question - where is God? God is everywhere, but we cannot find God, we have to realize God.

I don't know if you can really see God unless you are dead, but I could be wrong. Just from my experience though, I can easily feel God. When I think very strongly about Him, or when I am in church or praying, I can feel His presence in the room or even outside in the air and things around me. It is not a creepy feeling, like one might describe the feeling of someone you can't see looking at you behind your back. It feels instead like a warm, adoring gaze that a mother might use on a small child, or a comforting hug from a best friend. I don't know if it is the same for everyone, but as I pray and I feel His presence I always either smile and laugh or cry because it is such a feeling of relief and joy! It is so cool to have a God that surrounds me in such kindness wherever I go!

Yes, God is everywhere, but He won't help just anyone if they call on Him. yes, He loves you very much, yes, He wants you to succeed, but your sin separates you from him, so he doesn't look at you. The only way that you can communicate with God is if you are a christian, which you can be! All you have to do is pray a simple prayer like this:

I love you, and I know that you love me. I know that I am a sinner [as it says in Romans 3:23: All have sinned and fall short of the glory of god, but are freely justifed by god's grace]. I also know that you have sent your son to die and save me.
