After fast traveling to the Imperial City, another quest log entry popped up. Apparently a strange door has opened in the Niben Bay. Guess that's it, although I don't know why I didn't get that message right away.
EDIT:
Syaoran55 - Nope Sorry this still did not help...
Shivering Isles is an expansion pack. It is not included with the original base game, but is included in the GOTY edition or the later re-releases like the 5th anniversary and TES Anthology.
The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion (GOTY) since this one would have the least glitches, plus includes Knights of the nine and shivering isles expansions.
No, the Shivering Isles is not written into the original version of the game. You can go there if you get the Shivering Isles expansion on a separate disc, the GOTY version includes both official expansions.
The Elder Scrolls iv Oblivion is a PS3 game of the year
You get the Shivering Isles expansion but the ONLY DLC it comes with is Nights of Nine.
Depends which you prefer. Both have the full Oblivion game. The GOTY edition comes with the two official expansions, Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles, which add new items and places. You also get a paper map. The Collector's edition comes with some collector items - a coin, a guide to the continent of Tamriel, a behind the scenes DVD. If the collector items appeal to you most, then get the Collector's edition, and then pick up Shivering Isles at the least, you should be able to find it cheap. If you don't care about the collectables, then go for the GOTY edition.
No
Unfortunately Bethesda do not sell Oblivion's PC DLC on their own site any longer. That means sadly there is no way to buy most of the DLC for a non-Steam version. Shivering Isles was released on disc, so that's one thing that can be added. But the other DLC packs currently are only available on Steam's GOTY Deluxe edition.
yes, as part of The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion (GOTY)
The GOTY edition is just the regular Obivion, but with DLC. So it may be used on the regular Oblivion.
yes.
Yes, judging by the past GOTY Editions of the past games (Oblivion and Morrowind), the Skyrim GOTY will feature ALL the expansions, as that is what a Game of the Year Edition is: The game with ALL expansions. To give you an idea of how what a GOTY is, please visit these links.
