I think I get what you're saying, but apologies if I haven't read you right.
If you want to go back into a mission, which perhaps you like to play, it is always worth saving your games on several slots in rotation, not just on one or two. This way, if you enjoy a mission and want to play it again, just go back to the previous save and do it all over again (make sure you take off the autosave when you do that, so that the game is not automatically saved over that slot). I like playing Three Leaf Clover, so I have a slot with a previous save, which I keep and go into when I want to do the bank heist again.
