First of all, the staircase is in the Castle's library, which is the door on the right. Below the platform where the librarian guy is walking, there's a lower level with a whole bunch of signs with letters on them. Find the sign that is labeled NON-FICTION. Just to the right of that, there's a shelf. If you look closely on the shelf, you'll notice above the McM sign, there is a green brick. Click it, and a staircase will be revealed. Good luck!
