Its really easy. All you do is from VIRIDIAN city go up onto route 3, and just watch the man teach you about catching wild pokemon. BE CAREFUL THOUGH because the weedles know poison sting and can poison you. OH by the way towards the end of viridian forest you encounter a wild mewtwo level 75 so be prepared
