If you have painted the trim around your window and dripped or over-painted onto the surface of the window, the best solution is to use a single edged razor-bade to scrape the dried paint off of the glass.
Place the sharp side of the razor at a slight angle onto the glass and gently scrape off the paint.
In future, when painting around windows you can save yourself clean-up time by masking the glass with painters' tape or you can use an old painters' trick and take strips of newspaper (approximately 2" wide), dip them in water to moisten, and place them on the glass like you would the painters' tape. The moist paper adheres to the glass and does not leave any adhesive reside when removed.
White or yellow paint it depends on where the windows are.

The first version of Paint was introduced with the first version of Windows, Windows 1.0 released on 20 November 1985.
