Before you install windows you have to create at least one partition and format it. After that during the windows installation process choose the partition which you created earlier for windows to install itself over there. Also you have to have all required drivers for your hardware (monitor (not always needed), video card, sound card, ethernet, wireless and so on) which you have to install when the installation process is finished.
You might need specific drivers for your equipment such SATA (AHCI, RAID) or SCSI.
Find a computer where you can add a password in the bios. Doing so, you can setup your bios to boot from hard drive first before booting from the DVD drive. No windows install DVD will be able to re install windows since the hard drive will boot first.Then, in windows, setup you account as admin and add a password for it if there is no password. Setup a guest account for other windows users. That's it.
You can store setup files on a Hard Drive, Flash Drive, CD, DVD, or you can create a folder in c:\windows\temp
