*whatever you do don't get mad or obnoxious. this will just make them mad at u and they'll hold it off longer.

*make sure they don't already have it and are planning to give it to you. see if they give hints on "would you use it wisely?"

*tell them you wouldn't be on it 24/7. parents would much rather have you talk to them then into ur phone

Sit her down and prove to her that you are responsible enough to take care of one. Give her examples from your past, tell her things (other responsibilities) you'll pick up in the future, even give her possible punishments for if you break her rules. Tell her you understand that rules are something important, and compromise. That is the key word, COMPROMISE.

Edit: Another easy way is to get it. yourself. I was 12 and i have no job and i easily got a cheap phone. its not the best but i can afford the monthly bill. i pay under 20 dollars a month. in a cople years when i can afford it i will get a good phone. if you are afraid someone will make fun of your cheap phone just say mine broke and this one is temporary. If they are a closer friend then they wont make fun of it.

I am 10 and I want a phone bad. And when I think about it I get happy, But then I think that wow why won't my mom buy me one? All my friends have one they take it to school and I felt left out. I think my mom is right well al little. I understand that I could get a track phone. But I love to text who doesen't and well I am a 10 year old girl who doesen't wanna grow up.

Everybody well be texting and calling each other but me 'cause i don't have a cell phone. i have persuaded her a bunch of times but she keeps on saying (This is what i think of her like) "Oh, i am a big fat cheap lady who well never buy my son a cell Phone until i die like I'm dead now"
