i have a old buick park ave the back doors will not unlock the door will not open inside or out there is no place for a key they did not make them with a key hole help Power locks? Either pull the fuse that controls them or disconnect the battery. You should be able to unlock them manually then. One of the switches is stuck possibly. If this works, you can disconnect the lock to the back doors and just lock them manually.
Hi, I know that you can open them manually if they are stuck closed, problem if driving at night. Just behind the grill, there is a mechanism to manually operate the doors. You can see it and get to it easily by crawling underneath. However, it sounds like you need a new motor for the doors. These are pretty easy to come by at a salvage yard or possibly on ebay. rtalk7
I think the answer is you buy another car, the J30 stopped production in 1997.
You can not close any door if the locking mechanism is stuck in the locked position. You must first get the mechanics to unlock.
Make sure the key lock under the rear window is turned to the door unlock position ,not the glass unlock position.
could be that the handle is sticking. This won't allow you to unlock the door. You can lube the handle and work it back into it's normal position. The other option is to remove the interior panel and reach into the door and manually operate the latch from inside the vehicle
Stuck? Key ? Fiddle with steering wheel and key at same time. Pressure of steering wheel in hard turned position can prevent unlock.
It should lock and unlock with the power door locks. If it is stuck in the locked position, there is a lever in the trunk on the driver's side behind the carpet that will unlock it.
Try taking the battery out of the remote. One of the buttons is probably stuck.
There may be a place near the gear shift to insert a screwdriver and 'unlock' the gears manually. Possibly a blown fuse created the problem.
If it is a motor issue, have to pull the cover off the motor and hand spin the seat into position until you can replace the motor.
It is not that hard to manually open supermarket sliding doors. All of the doors should have sensors which can automatically open the door if the sensor is connected to a computer. If the door is stuck, just use the computer to open it. If it is not connected to a computer, then it is also very easy to open it manually with your hands. Just grab the middle and pull, I have tried it before, its not that hard to open. It's very light. If you still can't open it then use a thin wedge, the way you use a credit card to open a locked door. Stick it between the two doors, and then try to pull. Very simple.
