It's not likely that a friends with benefits situation will progress to where your "friend" will be asking you out like in a real dating relationship. These type of arrangements usually end when one person wants more of a "relationship" than the other.
Instead of waiting for your friend to ask you out put yourself in situations where you can meet new people who want to ask you out. If you start dating other people your friend may take notice and discover they have real feelings for you, but if the light bulb never goes on for your friend at least you'll have already started to meet great people who really want to date you.
Just ask but Say friends with benefits instead
You ask him. It should be about that easy, if he is a straight male.
Ask the person directly if they want to be in a relationship with you. If they say no, then you are just fwb. If they say they already are, then you know your answer. Or just ask them this question yourself and then ask them what they want to be.
ask if you can be 'friends with benefits' and see what happens from there.. usually works for me. GOOD LUCK!
When you go from just friends to friends with benefits, to friends and lovers, then gf and bf without asking any questions, this means your relationship has naturally evolved.
Tell Him you don't just wanna be friends with benefits, if he truly likes you ask him out on a date, if things dont work out then maybe you shouldn't be friends with benefits anymore. And if you do work out you can be boyfriend and girlfriend WITH BENEFITS
Ask? If you trust him, it's not a big deal.
Ask him if he wants to meet your Mother.
It depends. Ask him. There are good chances he likes you.
