There is no one permit that allows someone thats not a federal agent to carry a gun in all the 48 states. Now you could get a license as a armored car guard and while in the course of your job you would be legal in the 48 states. The fire arm interstate transportation act makes it legal to transport a weapon in a locked box through any state as long as you are in route to a state that you are allowed to have that weapon as long as its not in a console or a glove box and in cars without a trunk it cannot be accessable from the drivers seat of the vehicle. You could get a concealed permit and some states have recipacating agreement for up to 35 states
