To get a pet of the month bag you have to BUY the webkinz pet of the month. To See the pet of month, go to the webkinz newspaper and click on the pet of the month tab.

Unless you wait until the actual days of that month to adopt, you won't get the loot bag. Any pet of the month owner will get to do the extra activities. For example, if you already own a terrier, when that pet becomes pet of the month, you'll get to do the activities. But only new pet of the month pets that are adopted during their month, will get the special loot bags.
