Steam sends games electronically therefore you will need to download it. Most games come with the CD key embedded. The only game I have found to still need the CD key was ETQW (Enemy Territory: Quake Wars). But steam overlay gives the CD key to you when you open it and it asks for it. it is because your PC cannot run the game try lowering all of the settings in the option menu and if it still does not work your PC might not be good enough for the games system requierments.

It hurts almost just as much as sticking your arm into the pot itself !!! to prevent burns from steam, hold the lid with a potholder and lift it AWAY from you, or towards the back of the stove, and slowly pull the lid away and avoid the steam.
