they make the earth warmer
Green house gases, such as carbon dioxide.
The green house effect is called that because the earths atmosphere is acting like a green house. The pollutant gases in the earth's atmosphere trap the sun's heat around the earth just like in a green house where the glass traps the heat in the glass house. This trapped heat raises the overall temp of the earth this is called global warming.
Green house effect is the hypothesis that certain gases in the high atmosphere hold heat in.
Green house effect assist the earth to retain its temperatuere in equilibrium. In absence of green house effect , earth's temperature will be rapidly increase due to intensity of sunlight further in night or in lake of sunlight the temperature of earth surface will be rapidly go down. But much concentration of green house gases absorb more heat that results much temperature during day and also more temperature in night...
The Greenhouse Effect.
for environment
Because the "greenhouse gases" act similarly to a greenhouse. The heat goes through the gases (glass panes) and is stored on Earth (greenhouse) and is unable to exit back into the atmosphere (sky). Google "greenhouse effect" and go look at the images, the pictures on the first page will help you to understand my analogy.
Green house effect is keeping an area warm by allowing the solar radiations to pass in but preventing long wavelength heat waves to escape due to presence od radiatively active gases and glasspanes.
The Earth's mean temperature will rise.
if you mean in the earth like why doesnt space make us cold its 2 things the atmosphere and the green house effect the green house effect is well like the green house it captures heat and keeps it in earth and the atmosphere is a thin layer of gases surrounding the earth formed my volcanoes and other things it keeps in water oxygen we need to live and the ozone in it keeps out harmful rays
Greenhouse gases absorb Infrared heat rising from the surface of the earth.
Bio-gases such as methane and carbon dioxide are greenhouse gases that trap heat in the atmosphere, leading to the greenhouse effect. When these bio-gases are released into the atmosphere from sources like livestock, landfills, and biomass burning, they contribute to the warming of Earth's surface by absorbing and re-emitting infrared radiation. This traps heat and contributes to climate change.
