When I take them off I take a toothpick and go in-between my real nail and the fake nail. It usually comes right off, but if it doesn't then try to put tape ontop of the fake nail and soak them in nail pollish remover.

There are a number of benefits of having a glass nail file over an emery board nail file. The biggest advantage is that the glass files will never wear out as they are etched and never need replacing but an emery board will wear down with time. Glass files are also known to be much more gentle on ones nails.

Wash it in soap and water. If it's a glass file--the very best kind--do NOT use nail polish remover on it; the grit is glued onto the glass, and nail polish remover will take it right off.
