OEM catalytic converters have a warranty of 96 months or 80,000 miles. Inquire from a nearby auto dealer to find out where and how you can find a written warranty.

The check engine light will be on due to the empty catalytic converters not being efficient. On 96 and up vehicles the computer monitors the efficiency of the converters. Not to mention "gutting" a converter is illegal.
