That depends on how hot it is. If it is just a little too hot, it might be enough just to wear gloves or use a cloth to hold it. The cloth must be a bad conductor of heat and thick enough to make sure that too little heat gets through to hurt you. The cloth also must not melt or burn at that temperature.
If it is much hotter, like a chunk of white-hot metal, say in making an axe-head, you will need suitable tools with long handles so that you do not get hurt by the heat that shines out of it (we say that such a chunk radiates enough heat to hurt you).
Still hotter material, such as large amounts of molten metal or glass, need to be handled behind shields that protect you from the radiation, splashes, and other accidents as well ans just touching the hot things.

It would get too hot
There are a wide variety of materials that become hot easily. Two examples would be leather and asphalt. Both can become extremely hot in just a matter of minutes.
They would get too hot.
Too Hot to Handle - Heatwave album - was created in 1976.
materials
All chemical are weighed cold, generally at 20 0C, to make possible correct comparisons between different weighings. The density of all materials depends on the temperature. Also, hot materials have negative influences on analytical balances.

Conductors are usually made of metals. The reason why the handle of a metal spoon gets hot in a hot bowl of soup is because metal is a conductor of heat. Insulators are usually made of materials such as styrofoam, plastic, and paper. That is why when you buy a cup of coffee at a cafe it is given to you in a paper cup.
Radioactive materials come in all sorts. Some are really "hot" and will damage a person instantly, others are "cooler" and can be handled a bit without any risk.
why plahile material packed
that is why hot pads are so popular and other pots and pans have handles made out of conductors like wood or plastic keep the heat from traveling through the handle and to your hand.
Hot fluid dissolves materials and adds other materials :)
he is very very hot, i just can't handle his hotness
