you can't get rabies from hamsters
Hamsters can't get rabies they're too small.
Usually animals that get rabies are carnivores, like cats, dogs, skunks. Hamsters are carnivores, they are herbivores. If an herbivore has rabies, it is probably because it was attacked by an animal with rabies and got away. This doesn't usually happen.
The most common hamster illness is wet tail, but hamsters can also get bladder stones, cancer, abscesses (infected wounds), Salmonellosis, Rabies, and Lymphocytic Choriomeningitis.
Of course there is all kinds of hamsters, like dwarf hamsters there the size of a puff ball , huge and even extreemly fuzzy hamsters, there are at least more than a hundred kinds of species of hamsters. Though wild hamsters are hard to catch, viciouse, and bite, plus may have rabies.
You should take it to the vet instead of trying to do it at home.
They will take a while to heal up if not visit a vet
No, unless the hamster has rabies. if the hamster is a household pet, then no. Hamsters rarely bite, anyway.
Well first of all don't touch it u need to be careful with it
I guess they don't heal, more or less grow out. whiskers are just like human hair, they grow back to original length if damaged
No, they don't NEED to be, because they shouldn't be with other hamsters (Siberian) and they can't catch a virus from a human being so you can choose, if the vet will even do it for you!
Rabies virus is the causative agent for rabies.
