encourage them to go to NA/AA meetings every day, work the steps, get a sponser and a home group and encourage them to pray for their compulsion to be lifted. they must do these things, you can offer only encouragement. if they are not willing to do these things they may not have yet hit the bottom that would be the motivation needed. good luck, and God bless.
