Gently scoop your rat up with both hands. A tame rat should be happy to be held and stroked although it might want to get down and explore instead because they are very active and inquisitive creatures. Some rats will happily sit on your shoulder as you walk about, males tend to be happier to sit still and get attention whereas females are more active
Every Rat has very strong muscles. They can hold about 3 mice on their stomach.
yes u can
10seconds
because the tip of the tail might come off.
It may be stressed or it may be allergic to ur perfume/cologne
It carries on doing rat things until the poison takes hold, then it dies where it last was, and then the body stays there until someone throws it away or another animal comes along and eats it.
It would be unfair to the rat so just stick with your cats. unless you kept the rat really safe and secure, in a different room, i would get a rat, because rats are totally worth it... you can train them, and all sorts of things. My rat will let me hold it like a baby, and it climbs off its cage onto the floor sometimes!!! lol. Rats are very fun and they are only like 5 dollars!
A healthy rat should have clean, pleasant-looking fur, clear eyes, and no discharge coming from its nose or eyes. It should not stagger or anything like that and it should hold its head upright.
Do NOT pick up a pregnant rat! It would be VERY unsafe to the mother's and the babies' health if you do! Once you find out that the mother is pregnant you can not handle her until a week or more after she gives birth!
First, I would ask what you mean by "hold in her urine". It is normal for a rat to urinate while walking sometimes or when you are holding them. My rats won't urinate in the bedding where they sleep, but they urinate all over everywhere else. i know it can be messy, but I just clean out their cages once a week and it's not much of a problem.
