It would be unfair to the rat so just stick with your cats. unless you kept the rat really safe and secure, in a different room, i would get a rat, because rats are totally worth it... you can train them, and all sorts of things. My rat will let me hold it like a baby, and it climbs off its cage onto the floor sometimes!!! lol. Rats are very fun and they are only like 5 dollars!
