The hose attachment location may be different on different models of vacuums. Look for a small 'door' type hatch or lid that is covering an open hole. The hose end may have a notch that will only fit a certain way into the opening. Once you insert the hose, gently tug backwards on it to make sure the hose is attached. If it pulls out, the pressure from the vacuum will also push it off, so make sure it is seated completely within the opening.
To remove, you may need to push a lever on the hose (same notched area as before) to get the notch-mechanism to release the hose.
