First you need to convert the Powerpoint into video format, The most suitable formats to insert into PowerPoint are WMV. AVI, MPG. In order to do that you can use a video converter to turn your files to this format.
Then you can use iMovie converter to make the powerpoint into the imovie. you can do this with a MKV to imovie converter.

With the latest versions (of Flip camera, iMovie and QuickTime) you should be able to Import Movies from iMovies File menu. With some older Flip cameras there was a piece of conversion software that was required before the video could be imported into iMovie. (See links below)

What you can do is hold control key and click, and it will give you a list of options. Click 'import to iphoto' and the image will be in iphoto. In imovie, click where the photos would be, and choose 'iphoto library' and just drag the photo onto the slideshow.
