You cannot import adobe illustrator files using the indesign CS 6.

I would recommend obtaining a degree in graphic design and learning how to use Adobe Indesign or Quark Express. You'll also need to be proficient with Photoshop and Illustrator and have an understanding of how to create PDF files. Some junior colleges might offer these programs as will universities. Good luck.
As far as I know, you should be able to import .mov to the trial and pro version, but if you're having troubles just importing files in general, go to file-import-import file.
Because you have many options to work with text not available in Photoshop for example. Because you can build very easy animation in InDesign, because you can import Word, Excel files in InDesign, because you can build Index in InDesign, because you can set email and web kinks in InDesign, Because you can create table of content with few clicks in InDesign... There are 1000s other because but generally Indesign have too many advantages when working with publications like manuals, books, newspappers, when designing flyers, brochures, apps for mobile devices and so on.
Adobe Illustrator Portable and Adobe Photoshop Portable do not require installation, are NOT registered in the system, and can be instantly run from any location, even if you have them on a CD/DVD/external HDD. Functionality of the normal versions is not compromised. However, it takes more time to start them, and *.ai / *.eps files on your computer will not be associated with those portable programs. Officially, for your system, they do not exist.
These are different applications. In general given that Illustrator is a Vector based graphics program and Dreamweaver is a Web editor using raster files for most graphics / images (Flash based files being an exception), the two programs will never have a true round trip editing compatibility.
