∙ 10y agoYou have to build houses, or castles. These will raise your maximum population allowance but be aware that some maps have a hard limit set, you can't have any more than that limit.

So as long as you already installed the Age of Empires 3 base game, you will be able to play The Asian Dynasties, as well as access all features/civilizations/features present in the base game from within The Asian Dynasties.
