Well, I know how, but it's not a good idea as it will make the laser produce more ir radiation, which is not good for you at all. I recomend buying a new laser. techlasers.com is the best, i just bought the 125mW infiniti, and its amazing. Also, you can replace laser diodes inside the red laser pointer, laser diodes are available on freaklasers.com

What is the Wavelength of a red laser pointer?

Typically, most pocket red laser pointers have wavelengths that range between 630nm and 680nm. A helium neon red laser pointer has a wavelength of 633nm.

Are laser pointers illegal in Western Australia?

As far as I can see there was a movement for them to be outlawed in Western Australia but I'm not sure if it was accepted and that they are now illegal. So If anyone can answer my question I'd be much abliged as I'm looking into buying one. Usually laser pointers with a power < 5mw is less dangerous for human eyes. And the laws in most countries don't forbid 5mw green laser pointers and 5mw red laser pointers. The laser pointers with IR filter is even better. You can choose beamq low power laser pointer.

Why green laser pointer?

The human eye has its greatest sensitivity around 555 nm (540 THz), in the green region of the visual spectrum. This makes green lasers appear to be brighter than other lasers of the same power but different color. go to this site you can get from 1mw all the way up to 1000mw's on this site have fun and you be on this site for a long time they build good inexpensive laser's. here is the site and sure fire are good battery's they use them. laserpointerpro.com

Is it better if a wavelenght on a laser pointer is higher or lower?

The wavelength only reefers to the wave length of light in the visible light spectrum in. Basically what colour it will be. The Higher the number the deeper purple (violet) it will be. Too high it will be an ultra violet laser, which we can not see. The lower the number the deeper red it will be. Too low it will be infra-red, which we can not see with the naked eye as well. The mW (milli-watts) is what determines if the laser is going to better. The Higher the mW, means the higher power output, which means, a brighter, better laser. At any wavelength, and enough mW, all lasers are very dangerous. Ultra-violet and infra-red lasers burn and cause eye damage all the same as the visible light lasers.

What is the best laser pointer to buy?

I recommend LEDShoppe. It's a 5 mW laser pointer that can be seen a mile away, with a LED light on it as well. Only $3 with free shipping, and they are buy one, get TWO free! The only bad thing is that they ship from Hong Kong, so it will take a week or two to get it but it's worth it for 3 bucks.

Can you make a red laser pointer into a high powered laser?

The answer is pretty much "No." You can increase the power slightly, but if you go much beyond what it's designed for you'll burn out the laser diode.

Does a red laser pointer give cancer?

No.

What is the typical power of a green laser pointer in milliwatts?

A standard green laser pointer has a power of between 4 and 20 milliwatts. A red laser, for comparison, has a power of less than 5 milliwatts. The beam of a green laser can often be seen, while the beam of a red laser cannot be seen.

Can a red laser pointer damage a cell phone?

No, it can't.

What are the manufacturing costs of laser pointer components?

The most important laser pointer components is the laser module . The costs for different colors of laser are different , about 1$ for red laser , 10$ for green laser and 200$ for blue laser . And the costs are keep going down.

The light from a red laser pointer has a wavelength of about 600 nm If this laser has a power of 0.23 mW what is the momentum carried by a 4.9s pulse of this radiation?

How do you make a 100mW laser with a 5mW red laser pointer you can buy from dollarama?

Using lents or using electronic componets or both

What are the uses for a CW laser?

A continuous-wave laser, or CW laser, is part of many items. A laser pointer's red beam is an example of a CW laser. CW lasers are also used in holography.

What happens when a red light hits a white object?

the part the red light touches will turn red...like if u get a red laser pointer and point it at a white paper.

if you mean the red laser sight where its just like a laser pointer i would use it for airsoft or night hunting maybe rats or late eveining rbbit hunting

Does a typical laser pointer for presentations damage your eye sight after it has been reflected from a white board?

If you are 100% sure that the laser is below 5mW you and other viewers should be safe. I would suggest getting a red pointer for this, as green light shows as more powerfull to the human eye.
