Turn the card upside, meaning the MicroSD logo should be on the underside. The contacts (gold bars) should be facing towards side of tablet. Insert card and it slips right in. However, you need to push all the way in to ensure it's "locked" in. If you can't do this with your finger, get a pencil, eraser side down or something non metal, and use it to help you press the card all the way in.
On the Micro SD card that came with the tablet.
Micro SD should be the right size, perhaps you bought standard SD or Mini SD instead.

You have to get an SD card, (you can find one at Best Buy along with the Micro SD card) and insert a Micro SD card in the SD card, then insert it inside the Dsi SD card slot and take a pic on SD card. take it out, insert it in your laptop and download the picture.

Yes. But you have to have the SD card. I can't play music on my DSi because I lost my SD card. If you do have the SD card inserted, all you have to do is download music from the computer to the SD card (which you have to insert the card in the computer).
To transfer files from a CF card to a micro SD card, you can use a card reader that supports both card types. Insert the CF card into the card reader and connect it to your computer. Copy the files from the CF card to your computer, then remove the CF card and insert the micro SD card. Copy the files from your computer to the micro SD card.
