Something that big will have to go directly to the battery somehow. Can you put one of those electrical ends on it and connect it to the positive terminal of the battery? Then you can just have the wire bolted behind the clamp part of the battery cable. (put the eyelet between the tightening bolt and another bolt of the same size. Connect it tight. I would put and inline fuse in this wire also. Make sure the alternator can keep up with demand when this device is connected. Good luck.

If Im Not Mistaken, There Was No Base Model For 1996, There Was Only The Classic Model. The Impala SS has a heavy duty suspension and a good deal more power. It has 17 inch wheels and low profile tires.
U need to purchase a Chevy power steering pump removal/install tool. its a small pulley type tool and will take the pulley off of the pump. once its off, there should be 3 bolts that hold the pump in place.
check g/box inhibitor switch could be out of adjustment
Dexron automatic transmission fluid or power steering fluid that you buy from the parts house.
If it is vacuum a gauge oil filter. You have to buy a 3/8 pipe t fitting to fit the block and install both the sensor and the gauge tube on. Key on power wire to light it up.
It is located under the hood in the power distribution box. On the inside cover gives locations.
red wire= main power/postive yellow wire=main power/memory black wire=ground wire/negative
The most common problems will be with either the power or the ground going to the the blower motor.................
