Take the Action Replay, insert the game card you are going to play into the slot at the top of the Action Replay. Then when you put in the Action Replay in the DS Card Slot and play the game, you will see a codes screen.
From this screen, select the game and codes you would like to turn on or input and then play the game. The cheats will then be activated.
