The i550 drive is ALREADY installed in windows vista! Just plug your printer into the computer and turn on your printer. This action will activate the install, and will be ready to use within a minute.
Yes, you can but you might have to install some updates which allow to see windows xp stations in vista mapping.
Windows Vista does not support the HP Laser Jet 1500 printer. Regardless, Vista users can sometimes connect their printer to their vista computer, and even though software is not installed, the printer will appear to be ready to print. It is a glitch, and this glitch can sometimes let vista users print with a printer that is not compatible with Vista. If your printer does not work well with Vista, it's time for a new printer, or for a search of HP Laser Jet 1500 software that works with vista.
You can not install IE6 on Windows Vista.

Windows Vista likely doesn't include drivers for your printer. You will need to download them from the manufacturer's website.
You have to specify what kind of problem you have. The first thing which you have to do is to check the lexmark website fot fresh drivers compatible with vista.
I have MGI Photo Program on dicks, I had it on Windows XP. I Tried to install on my laptop, It has Windows Vista. Why won't it install on Vista
I recommend not to plug the printer to your computer yet. Insert the installation CD that came with the printer in your computer. Run the software. It will also show you instructions on how to setup the printer itself. Follow the instructions. If you don't have the installation CD, you can download the updated driver from the Lexmark website www.lexmark.com. Hope this helps.

Neither. If the drivers were available on the installation disc, it would have installed the driver automatically when you plugged it in. And if the wizard could not find one through the driver update over the internet, then it does not have one either. You should check to see if HP has a Vista driver available for your printer on their website.
