You will shutdown the computer, and make sure that it is unplugged. Remove the sides of your case to reveal the guts. Plug in your new hardware, make sure it's fit snug and you have all mounting screws in, replace the sides of case and power on the machine. If you have a drivers CD that came with the new piece of hardware, insert into CD-ROM drive and install them.

∙ 16y agoCut the computer off. Install the hardware. Cut it back on. Windows will see it and install it for you or ask for the disk that came with the hardware.
