how to change headlights on a 02 mustang I just did this today...(2002 mustang gt) when you open the hood on the back of the headlight assembly, there's a long metal clip. This holds the entire assembly in place, take this out using the tabs (gently). the whole assembly should slide right out, then… unscrew the large plastic nut that holds the bulb in place. to remove the bulb just twist. it's pretty easy to do and takes zero tools (yay). the foglight bulbs are a different story. still trying to figure that out. . erik ( Full Answer )
Open up the hood, and go in behind the fixture where the light is located. Sometimes there is an access panel on top. Open it and reach down inside and grab the bulb's socket. Twist the socket a quarter turn counter clockwise, and pull out the socket. Grab the bulb, and pull it straight out. To repl…ace the new bulb, never touch it with your bare fingers, as this will greatly shorten the bulb's life, if it even work's at all. Use a tissue or something else in that order to handle the new bulb. Push the new bulb into the socket, put the socket back into the housing, and twist a quarter turn clockwise to secure the socket into the fixture ( Full Answer )
The relay is in the directional stick. You need to take the cover off the steering column (easy) and thankfully this part is bolted right on and simple to remove. I had to do this to fix a blinking headlight problem. If this is your issue you need to replace the directional stick as the control is a… part of the directional module. I did this to my 88 5.0 GT. While you have this apart it is also wise to tigthen the column if you have a loose feel to the steering wheel. There isn't a relay for the headlamps. The reason that your headlamps are blinking is most likely due to the circuit breaker in the headlamp switch or the wiring is melting at the headlamp switch and multifunction switch. The problem is more prone to happen when using the foglamps or using the non ford approved bulbs! The relay is located close to the headlights usually under a battery box , with the engine off and headlights on have a partner flip the headlights on and off and listen for a click, 5hat is tue easiest way to find it ( Full Answer )
If you are talking about the bulb only you open the hood and on the back ot the headlight assembly you will see a large gray cylinder turn it to the right as far as it will go then pull the bulb out of the assembly hole. After you have it out hold the clip on the side of the blub up a little and pul…l the bulb from the socket. If you are talking replacing the headlight assembly itself you have to loosen and remove 3 nutd from the rear of the assembly just on the inside of the back of the assembly. there isn't much room in this space a small rachet or a racheting wrench will work fine. After you have the 3 bolts loosened and removed you have to take the rubber seal around the outside edge off the old assembly and put it on the new 1 unless you got new seals. Then just reverse the steps to put the new 1 back in. I just recently replaced all the front lights on my 93 the headlights were yellowed pretty bad. Good luck. If you are replacing all 3 lights like i did on the dricers side i had to reach in from undreneath to get at the drivers side inner little light. I couldn't reach it from above. Have fun. It probably took me about 2 hours to do all 6 light assemblies. ( Full Answer )
there are two metal pins that look almost like tent spikes on each headlight towards the back of the headlight and all you have to do is pull the two metal pins out and might take a little wiggling to get them free but the headlight will pull right out after the pins are out and this also makes for …very easy bulb replacement as well, hope that helps. 1999 - 2004 Mustangs have fixed headlight modules with only one adjustment. There is no way to adjust side to side (horizontal plane). That adjustment is supposedly accomplished by locking the headlamp fixture into the body with two slide lock pins. Open the hood and look at the upper end of the hea…dlight module. There will be two black metal tabs (one at each side of the headlight module). By pulling these pins straight up they may be removed, thereby freeing the headlight module from its' mounts. The headlight module may now be gently pulled toward the front of the vehicle. Disconnecting the headlamp wire and the side marker wire will allow the entire headlight module to be removed from the vehicle. Installation is the reverse of these steps. The sole adjustment for a headlight module is to adjust the up - and - down (vertical plane). This is accomplished by inserting the appropriate sized Allen wrench into the Allen screw at the inboard side (toward the center of the car) on each headlight module. Warning: the adjustment mechanism is made of high impact plastic rather than metal. Care should be used with inserting and turning the Allen wrench. Turning the Allen screw clockwise raises the light beam; turning counterclockwise lowers the light beam. ( Full Answer )

If you install headlight for acura 2002 tl or replace headlight for acura 2002TL and it still does not work what could be wrong?
The headlight bulbs just twist counter-clockwise in and out of place. They are located under the hood on either side of the radiator, directly behind the headlights. The foglights are 9006 low beam bulbs. They have to be accessed from under the front bumper. Move the black plastic piece out of the w…ay and unscrew the three screws surrounding the bulb. It should come right out. ( Full Answer )

I Just Finish Installing mine I figured out that the 2 red go to the battery.. I boght some wire bridges so I din't have 2 splice the wires. Hope this Helped I'll try 2 get some pictures up soon. ( Full Answer )
Park your car on a level surface several feet in front of a wall/garage door with the headlights on. Open the hood. On the top inner most side of the headlight assembly is a small round hole. At the bottom of the hole is the headlight adjustment screw. Insert the largest Philips head screwdriver int…o the hole that easlily fits. Gently rotate the screw taking note of the light position on the wall. Do not force the screwdriver into the hole and do not force the screw. They are plastic and easily damaged. ( Full Answer )

Answer . open the hood and access the headlight housing from engine compartment. Twist round plastic ring lock, unplug terminal, reverse your steps. Good Luck........
Answer . The halo means there is a ring of light around one of the light bulbs. The other light bulb is a projector, a small concentrated light. If you see a late model BMW, it will have halo lights. Hope this helps.
Pop the hood and behind the headlights there are 3 black washers on each headlight. You must squeeze the sides of the washers in and then the headlight slides right out.
splice together both stripped wires for headlights and run your projector lights to your fog lights or park lights
First you should make sure that the lights you purchased already have the harness that connects to the wiring that your stock lights were connected to(mine did so that's what i know how to work with). Second, if your lights are anything like mine, you should have 3 sets of wires on the bottom of t…he lamp housing( 3 sets of red and black wires). These wires go to the halogen halos around the actual lights of the headlight. I found it best to wire these wires to a toggle switch in the car that way your halos are not on all the time(which could cause them to burn out, they are mainly for show and to be all fancy and what not) and you can control when they are on. Third, your lamps should fit directly into place of your old lamps. There also should be wires to hook up the blinker light that is in your new setup. I have not take the time to wire these up yet. The bulb on the outside of the lamp is your regular light and the bulb in te middle is your brights. Nothing extra for this, just plug and go. Your neighborhood friendly focus freak. ( Full Answer )
Pull out the light by pulling out the two metal rods holding your headlight in place. Take the headlight out by slightly turning the plastic rings around the back of your light. It should loosen up. When it does, just mess with it a little to pull it out, pull out the bulb and replace! =)
Disconnect the battery then reach behind the dash and push in the small round button on the side of the switch assembly. While holding the button in ,pull out on the dash knob. The knob and shaft should come out.Somtimes you have to wiggle the knob and push the button in and out until the shaft comes …out of the switch.Next remove the switch bezzel then remove the wiring harness plug and take the switch out. Your projector headlights should come "plug n play" and have the female ends for your existing connects on the wiring harness. As for the additional wires for the halos the best or easiest way I found was wiring them into the parking light circuit. This worked for my projectors on my truck.
The 02 F150 did not come stock with projection headlamps. The lamps are aftermarket if they are the projector style. If they are of decent quality, there should be a couple of "gear" like looking wheels on the back of the assembly. by turning these two wheels you will lower/raise the beam and also m…ove it horizontally left and right. If not, you are sol. ( Full Answer )
I'm presuming that your '02 is similar or identical to my '96 and has the headlight switch, the turn signal switch, dimmer switch and cruise (or in your case, NOT) all on the same stalk. I changed mine out a while back. It's not really too terrible. I had to remove the housing around the steering …column (two long, deeply seated Torx screws) to get at the stalk. If memory serves, it came off with only two screws. There are electrical connectors on the back of the assembly. You'll want to unplug them, naturally, but before you do, take note of where they "live". If you get them misplaced when you put in the new stalk, it will be difficult or impossible to get it seated correctly. The stalk was about a $60 part at Auto Zone when I did mine. The whole job should take you about 30 to 40 minutes if all goes well. ( Full Answer )

You can now get a lens polishing kit at an auto store, like auto zone. The fogginess of your car's lens is actually a clear coat that is applied to the plastic, to retard the UV rays from damaging the plastic. Once that clear coat is burnt from the solar rays, it becomes foggy. Polishing your lens…es will remove this old coat and you will need to apply a new coat. The kits available have all the materials you need to fix it. It will not be as good as nes, but the improvement will be noticeable. You do not have to remove your lights. quote taken from yahoo answers ( Full Answer )

Halo and projector headlight are pretty much the same thing. They function very similarly. However, Halo will give you the look that you seen on BMW headlights. Projector headlights will look the same as those other premium luxury brands. They're becoming pretty cheap nowadays, can be had between… $50 - $200. I just bought one set for my car, it pretty much transformed how my car looks. The light output is much brighter. Making my car stand out from the crowd and I'm feeling safer at night too. Pop the hood, look right at the top and back side of the headlight casing to locate an "L" shaped piece of steel. Turn it 90 degrees (left or right depends on which side of the car you are on) then after you turn it, it should either pop out of place or slide straight up and out of position. once yo…u've done that, the headlight casing should come out as one piece. on the back of it there should be a center point where wires go into a plastic base, twist that base 90 degrees and it too will pop out, thus exposing the light bulb. bulb comes out and is ready to be replaced with HALO bulb :) after this, be sure to put everything back in order and if you have leftover parts, you missed a step. This is how I did it.. I connected the black and white halo wires the the extra bulb housing with the brown and black wires. Then, my high beam lights were wired to my fog lights because the standard big plug doesn't work with the high beams and low beams. Again, that is how I wired it. Don't forget…, you basically have to cut out most of the plastic housing so the head light will even fit. ( Full Answer )
