Get a role of valcro strips and cut them into 6" strips. Attach them to the reel and the cover at about every 3 feet. Then attach the strips together and you will be able to reel the cover onto the reel and it will stay tight.
There are clips that you can buy in camping stores that are used for tarps whose round grommets rip out. I think these would work well. They work well for potatoe chip bags too!
My pool is 44 x 20. If I didn't have a reel, there would be no way that I could pull the solar cover off by myself. I think it depends on how big your pool is but I couldn't use my solar cover without one. I find my reel a pain in the butt! The cover never unravels evenly on both sides (round pool with reel in center). A: then your reel and cover are not installed correctly..... or is a very cheap model. our cover reel works great on a 16 X 24 above ground. In the winter I unbolt from the deck and hang it in the garage.
You would not believe just how easy your job will be with a pool cover reel system. .... If it is installed correctly. k
Picture, if you will, the reel system out over one end of the pool by about 6 - 8' from one end and straddling the width of the pool. With the straps coming down from the tubing to the cover at that 6' to 8' area directly below the reel tubing. When you are ready to roll up the cover it should reel up onto the reel from both directions of each end of the pool. It is a bit tricky to do but works great when done right. Just reverse everything when covering the pool. Ken
I have a design I am working on that I can share with you if you want Aaron
It all depends on how it is set up.
Lay your solar cover, bubble side down on top of the pool Just want to add, we bought a solar cover for our above ground Intex pool. The cover completely covers the pool and keeps the pool water very warm (which is the purpose). However, you need to double your chlorine to keep from getting algae. It's almost like having a spa. When I lift the solar cover, there is condensation on the cover and steam coming out. So you need to really watch your chlorine levels. : You may also want to try using a liquid solar cover. They are really easy and relatively inexpensive...best of all, you don't have to put them on and pull them off all the time. Check out www.liquidpoolcovers.com
of you put the solar panels out side the fence then u can do it. just make sure to put fence around the solar panel's
First, remove the reel cover. Remove old line carefully, when you find the end, it should come off easily. Once the old line is removed, run the new through the cover, then tie the new line on the spool, and remember to remove the tag end as close as possible to the spool. Replace the cover, then reel the new line on the reel.
An Automatic Pool Cover is an automatic pool cover system that covers and uncovers a pool automatically. The Auto Pool Reel is similar to manual pool cover and reel but fully automatic. No manual effort is required just push a button.
1 push casting button on back of reel. 2 pull out old line 3 the front cover on the reel needs to be turned counter clockwise until it stops then pull cover straight off. 4 cut off old line 5 thread new line threw eyes on fish pole then threw hole in the front cover of the reel 6 tie line around spool of reel 7 replace front cover of reel 8 place spool of new line on floor with the spool on its side 9 hold rod with left hand in front of the reel and hold line lightly between thumb and first finger to keep tension on line 10 turn handle on reel clockwise make sure line is coming off spool of new in the same direction that the reel is turning, this will help to reduce tangles when fishing. 11 stop when spool on reel is about 3/4 full hope you have good luck fishing!
