well, if you're installing stuff make sure you have the mods folder and the packages folder set up. then just move the sims3pack into the packages folder, double click on it, and the sims three launcher should show up. your sims3pack will show up in the downloads tab, and if it doesnt install automatically, just select it and click on the "install" button which is at the bottom of the page. good luck and happy siming!

Why do custom buy mode objects crash my Sims two game but custom hair and makeup do not?
I don't know, but I have the same problem. Small deco objects are fine, but anything like a chair or lamp will send the graphics crazy, then crash. Hair, makeup, and some clothes are fine though. Seems strange since I install them the same way, and there doesn't seem to be a difference between .sims3pack or .package files.
