How is sound made on a viola?

Either the player's fingers pluck the strings or he or she uses the violin's bow to rub on its strings, thus creating vibrations. The vibrations of the strings enter the violin's body through the bridge and are transmitted from its base to the back of the violin via the sound-post.The sound-post is a short wooden stick or peg that is placed just underneath the bridge inside the body, where it is wedged between the front and the back surfaces of the violin. Thus both the front and back of the violin are made to vibrate, making the sound become greatly amplified.Sound is produced by a violin when the strings are caused to vibrate. This vibration happens by either plucking the string or running a bow across it.

How do you fix a sliding viola peg?

one thing you might be able to do that my music teacher has said is to take the sliding peg and drill another hole in it for the string to go through farther from the edge of the pegbox as the original. NOTE: I mean the hole in the peg, NOT THE PEGBOX) Only do this if the string is touching the side of the pegbox as this could be the problem. This used to happen to a violist in my orchestra and he got really frustrated, and this is what he said to do.

Will a bent tuning peg make the string slip?

No, as long as the string is attached properly and the tuning peg itself doesn't slip.

How would you draw a circle on the ground with a radius of 5 meters?

Put a peg in the ground where you want the centre of the circle. Tie a string to the peg - loose enough so tat the string is free to rotate around the peg. Measure 5 metres along the string, from the peg, and at that point tie something that will mark the ground - a stick, for example. Walk around the central peg, holding the stick to the ground and keeping the string taut.

How does one string an ukulele?

Start by securing the string to the bridge securely. This can require a knot, or a wrap technique, or even a small bead on the end of the string. Take the other end of the string and insert it in the tuning peg. Pull tight on the string and turn the peg until the string is taut. You do not want to have more than one layer of string on any of the tuning pegs. Cut any loose ends off the string. Repeat these steps for the rest of the strings on the ukulele.

Why does my Dean guitars bottem E string 'the tiniest one' keep breaking at the tuning peg every time i tune down?

Check to see if the small hole in the peg isn't overly sharp or you are putting a "kink" in the string as you are putting it on. The string gets a kink in it when you put it on then as you unwind it to tune down it snaps.
