To charge the battery in a 2005 Cadillac, first ensure the vehicle is off and locate the battery, which is typically found in the trunk or under the hood, depending on the model. Connect the positive (red) jumper cable to the positive terminal of the battery and the other end to a charged battery or a jump starter. Then, connect the negative (black) jumper cable to the negative terminal of the charged battery and attach the other end to a grounded metal surface on the Cadillac. Start the charging vehicle or jump starter, and let it charge for a while before attempting to start the Cadillac.
Jump the circuit in the keyswitch to the "on" position, jump the starter with a starter button.
JUMP 12 MILES
Yes, most likely its the starter if the battery is fully charged and it still wont crank. When you turn the key, you should hear a click. That click is the starter engaging. No click, means the starter is no good.
