The only way to keep a tame duck from flying is to clip the wingtips. It's best (and safest) if you let a trained vet do this; However, there are online instructions for doing it yourself.

What 2 forces affect you when you float how do these 2 forces compare in size?

There is the downward force of gravity, pushing you towards the bottom of the body of water. The second force is buoyant force which keeps you afloat. Since you aren't sinking then the buoyant force is greater than the force of gravity.

What is the force exerted on an object is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced?

buoyancy is the upward force that keeps things afloat. The net upward buoyancy force is equal to the magnitude of the weight of fluid displaced by the body. This force enables the object to float or at least seem lighter
