Take a pain reliever.
If the pain is due to your braces cutting open the skin on your lip then put the special wax that you were given on them.( if you don't have any wax or run out I found that candle wax and the wax that comes on little packs of cheese work just as well)
Take a painkiller an hour before you go to the orthodontist and another as soon as you get home. Also avoid eating hard foods for a few days after they get adjusted. I know it looks gross, but use the wax they give you for any sharp edges your mouth will thank you.
If your braces are poking your cheeks there is ways to prevent it! I have had braces for a little over a year now and this happens a lot. You just take a pair of nail clippers and clip the wire, make sure they are clean and you don't clip your cheek or tongue. If you are squeamish doing this you can get help from your parents or try put it back in with tweezers or your nail.
You can put wax on it! I know braces suck.... I JUST got mine off yesterday!!!!!
P.S. From the asker: I have braces in the way back of my mouth, and they keep cutting my cheeks.. Any way to prevent it??
he wants you
I would suggest not to clip it yourself. Go to the ortho and they will cut it. Better safe than sorry
eat you...!
you don't
Yes, when you get braces, the dentist gives you a small tooth brush and you brush in between the braces
To keep the teeth together. Sure your braces will make your teeth straight but they can open up a gap again ( if that is the reason you needed braces). So a retanier will only keep the teeth straight
Yes
Invisible braces should be treated like regular braces. You have to keep them in at all times and only take them off for eating and brushing.
Braces are designed to move your teeth into better alignment. A retainer is designed to keep your teeth in their current position following braces. If your teeth are where you want them to be, you do not need braces or a retainer. If they are not, you will need to have them moved with braces followed by a retainer to hold them in place.
you keep poking it with a stick or your finger until it moves
To keep their trousers up :)
On your braces brackets there is usually a hook (one on top, one on bottom) which you can put your rubber bands on
