Insert Desperados (Wanted Dead or Alive) CD. Go to Start > My Computer (or Computer if using Vista or Windows 7). Right-click on Desperados CD Icon and click "Open" to open the CD folder. Right-click on Desperados application icon (file is actually called "Desperados") and click on "Properties". In the file properties, click on the "Compatibility" tab. Make sure the box labelled "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" is ticked > Click on the drop down option just beneath and select Windows XP (Service Pack 3). On my computer, none of the other checkboxes are ticked. Click "Apply" button and then the "OK" button to save changes and exit the properties box. Then double click on the "Desperados" icon in the CD folder (that you have just changed the options of) and click install, and it should install without any error at all.
